Tes Global have a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Data Quality team within the Business Improvements section of the business.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Data Quality Manager, you will have a central role in the day-to-day management of our organisational CRM data company wide. This includes schools, educational companies, local authorities and agencies both nationally and internationally.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the customer records stored in our business systems are accurate and up to date which will involve online data verification/validation, entry and cleansing.
As the gatekeeper of the company’s master data, you will need the ability to look at the wider picture and the confidence and to say ‘no’ when it is necessary to protect the integrity of the data.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Customer Account Records within the Company’s CRM System
- Manage an Outlook mailbox of customer queries on a rota basis
- Validation and Verification of data using various online sources prior to manual input or amendment into customer records
- Extract and manipulate data from external online sources for bulk upload to customer records
- As part of both day-to-day operations and projects, monitor and report on the quality of the data and suggest improvements
- Play a key part in matching data during any period of M&A activity
- Undertake other Administration duties as required
- Although training will be provided, administration experience of working with records within a customer database and Excel is essential in order to hit the ground running
- Attention to detail is vital in order to ensure Data Quality at all times
- Excellent PC/MS Office as well as oral and written communication skills
- Experience of extracting data from a variety of online systems
- Previous use of Salesforce would be advantageous; however, more important is the ability and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of the education sector and terminology would be beneficial
- Ability to act on your own initiative when dealing with issues, and to be proactive in your approach to your work, without resorting to guessing or assuming
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task. Having a flexible approach to work with changing deadlines and scope
- Ability to put technical issues across in clear, patient, polite and straight forward way
- You would describe yourself as logical thinking, a great problem solver and innovative
- Strong drive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a great team
- Ability to understand business goals, strategy and customer data requests and to follow data rules, processes and procedures
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships and work closely with people from different roles and departments, building relationships across a diverse range of personalities, abilities and cultures.
- Ability and confidence to push back and say ‘no’ where necessary and make alternative suggestions, always thinking of the best way to meet the requirement rather than what has been requested in the journey to data quality and integrity
