Description

At Perlego, there are over 100 of us working hard to make education accessible to all. In this digital age, we believe that anyone should be able to learn anything at any time. Knowledge should be more accessible, not locked behind sky-high price tags.

Over the past 5 years, our goal has been to support students across the UK & Europe to access quality books. We’ve just raised $50 million in our Series B funding round and our focus now is on widening our support to students globally, and building a product that goes beyond the book; we want Perlego to be a platform that helps students to learn more efficiently.

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone to join our growing International team and help in the expansion of Spain and Latin America. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team and you will get exposure to different roles and teams including: content, sales, marketing and product.

How we work together:
There are currently 4 people in our International Team, all responsible for the expansion of Perlego in different regions and markets across the world. We work closely with our Marketing, Content, Sales and Product teams to help align our efforts, so get ready to collaborate!

Responsibilities

This role combines different functions into one, giving you a unique opportunity to learn about sales, partnerships and content. Some of the main responsibilities include:

Content Growth: You will be in charge of increasing the content coverage that Perlego has to better satisfy the needs of local users. This includes:

Understanding the Spanish publishing industry and its dynamics.
Networking with publishers to establish long-lasting relationships
Negotiating contracts and agreements with publishers
Ensuring that publishers signed are seamlessly and timely onboarded and have the best experience.
Contributing to the creation of an improved publisher value proposition
Deep understanding of the current content catalogue to accurately provide recommendations to users
Developing long-term relationships with publishers, understanding their needs and problems and pro-actively proposing solutions.
Act as the point of contact for publisher first-line support; supporting with queries and looking for opportunities to improve the publisher experience

User and Revenue Growth: You will be supporting the growth of our users in the region by working closely with the sales and partnerships team.

Identifying and developing new business opportunities by networking, prospecting and other lead generation techniques.
Collaborating with the sales team to develop effective sales materials, proposals, and presentations.
Attending industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date on market trends and network with potential clients.
Negotiating and closing deals with clients, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome.
Support with conducting market research to better understand who are our key audiences, how our brand positioning needs to be initially adapted to fit with the local environment, and identify new growth opportunities.
Support with brainstorming, developing and launching new ideas to increase brand awareness in the region.

This is the perfect role for you if you have:
Native or fluent level Spanish, and fluency in English (We’ll be asking you questions in Spanish in the application form!)

The ability to plan and prioritise daily tasks/responsibilities across different projects
Experience in sales, account management or in a client/customer facing role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
