Job description
The role is attributed to our most strategic law firms across Europe, with responsibility to ensure growth through existing customer relationships and the onboarding of new logos. Key activities include identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity and managing sales cycles to closure. Additionally, the role requires the assessment of client needs and providing client-specific strategic guidance and product overviews.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute on sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals and targets that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
- Lead sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders during the sales process from beginning to end by creating business development strategy, identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity and managing sales cycles to closure.
- Deliver presentations and demonstrations of the Moody’s range of software solutions to our prospects and clients, supporting the wider team in doing the same.
- Interact at executive level to diagnose challenges and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with local country Sales Development Reps and Relationship Managers to encourage best practice and activity across the region.
- Partner with Solution Specialists and Industry Practice Leads to develop clear, concise proposals and deliver targeted client demonstrations that address client needs.
- Demonstrate Moody’s as a ‘trusted partner’ through insightful and client-specific advice, be a market expert by leveraging market, product and technical expertise.
- Lead the preparation and circulation of market insight to create awareness of Moody's expertise internally and externally.
- Represent Moody’s as effective external spokesperson for the organization.
- Provide accurate, complete and current forecasts and pipeline information to management.
- Develop a network of new clients and strengthen existing relationships.
- Work closely with senior management to strategize on key growth opportunities and drive actions to achieve the results of the plan.
- Position requires travel.
- Fluency in English is required, additional language skills are highly beneficial.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in or selling to the Legal sector.
- Must have proven experience selling data and/or software solutions.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is required: KYC/AML, Automation/Client Lifecycle Management software, Master Data Management, Corporate/Individual databases or Research tools, M&A/Corporate Finance, CRM or Business Development solutions.
- Skilled in establishing, developing, and maintaining key relationships within accounts, including senior executives, both internally and externally.
- Ability to present high-level information and detailed demonstrations of products & services.
- Proven ability of accurate pipeline management from initial lead to close.
- Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) required.
