We are looking for a Business Development Manager, Mid market/Enterprise, to expand our growing Sales team in the UK!
Reporting to our Sales Director, you will be responsible for the development of new business and market share in the Mid-Market & Enterprise space in the EMEA territory.
Focusing on new business revenue growth, you will find and execute high value, commercially profitable opportunities. Supported by Credence's sales leadership team, and working closely with Marketing and Customer Success, your ability to open new doors and close new sales will help drive Credence's accelerating growth!
Our sales team is the engine that drives the global reach of our solutions. As part of this team, you will be selling our background screening services to new corporate clients (B2B) on a global basis. To be successful in this role, you will have deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a successful track record in new business who can inspire the same performance in others.
As our Business Development Manager you will:
- Identify new business opportunities within the mid-market and enterprise territories.
- Strategise, execute and convert opportunities into new business revenue streams.
- Build a running pipeline, driving annual revenue from prospective Mid Market and Enterprise accounts.
- Build and maintain engagement with new business clients through developing relationships, and understanding their current systems, processes, and business goals.
- Execute a combination of prospecting methodology, incorporating phone, email, social media, and face-to-face outreach.
- Leverage industry networks to identify new opportunities, and create meaningful relationships with target influencers and decision makers.
- Articulate Credences value proposition, and build compelling business cases for prospects to choose Credence.
- Manage the end-end sales cycle, applying both Consultative and Insight selling methodologies.
- Achieve the assigned revenue targets, to support the planned growth of the business.
- Represent Credence at industry events & conferences.
- Participate in team meetings and projects to improve processes & sales output.
- Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
- Actively develop the skills required to close business independently.
- Apply knowledge, and transfer learning and tips to other members of the sales team to achieve greater outcomes.
- Leverage the available technology stack to improve efficiency in the role.
- Accurately enter and maintain contact and company records in the CRM.
- Accurately manage the sales process through the CRM to ensure all reporting and forecasting are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure all business proposals and service agreements are saved and version controlled in the CRM.
- Participate with the wider team, to deepen your understanding of client needs, and the Credence product & service offering.
- Seek out industry trends, and other relevant news that will assist in having more relevant and deeper conversations with prospective clients.
- Actively develop and improve the skills required to find and win new business revenue opportunities independently.
- Proactively maintaining up-to-date awareness of government regulations, and emerging new markets.
We are hoping you will bring.........
- Demonstrable experience in new business development.
- Demonstrable track record of reaching targets, and can clearly articulate sales targets from previous roles.
- Previous experience in B2B sales
- High energy and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude with the drive to learn new skills and learn from the team and clients
- Tenacity and perseverance with the ability to solve problems and find innovative ways to turn a ‘No’ into a ‘Yes’.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships and trust with senior level executives.
Benefits include:
- Basic salary of £50,000 - £70,000 depending on your experience.
