The talent acquisition team at NET Professional is partnering with a fantastic business operating in the Life Sciences industry space, who is searching for a talented and highly experienced Business Development Manager to join the team, working anywhere in the UK. The business is already finding high levels of success and is entering into the UK market, providing comprehensive cold storage solutions to pharmaceutical and biotechnology businesses.
This role will require frequent travel across the assigned region, organising face-to-face customer meetings and closing sales. The position holder will be instrumental in the growth for this market across the UK, developing strong business leads and meeting sales targets for the business to build a strong customer base. This role can be based anywhere in the UK with the assigned area being given based on this location. Any candidates MUST be prepared to travel regularly and feel comfortable using any means, including cold calling, to gain and develop business leads.
Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
- Creating, developing and executing sales and account plan, to drive profitable growth within the region
- Ensuring that progress is tracked
- Meeting financial and sales objectives by converting opportunities to order and sales
- Leading and collaborating on reviews of the accounts and pipeline, ensuring that forecasts are presented accurately
- Maintaining and building strong working relationships with clients, utilising these to business advantage to progress growth in both the short term and long term
- Developing a very strong understanding of business offerings and solutions and be able to effectively present these to potential clients to highlight value and benefits to them
- Ensuring understanding client needs is a priority, to effectively market solutions and services that will meet these
- Travelling across the assigned region to speak with key stakeholders and customers
What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will need to possess a degree within either engineering, science technology or in a general business field. Additionally, you must have at least 5 years of experience in with a business development or sales position, whereupon main duties included creating and managing your own pipeline of work, seeking out new sales opportunities, via cold calling and face-to-face means, and converting a high level of leads to closed sales. Sales experience will need to be in a relevant industry related to cold storage within life sciences pharmaceutical or biotechnical sectors and be highly capable of selling equipment within these markets. It is a given that you must have outstanding communication abilities and be commercial minded to understand how to maximise business profits.
What you will get in Return:
The successful candidate could receive a starting salary of up to £70,000, which will be highly dependent on previous experience, sector exposure and knowledge related to the industry. This will accompany a comprehensive package including an excellent holiday allocation, company pension scheme and a selection of additional monetary and work related perks and incentives.
As this role is so crucial in the entering of a new country market and playing a huge part in the fundamental growth of the business, there will be ample opportunities for further growth within the role and opportunities to meet and exceed targets leading to additional income. Full training, alongside update training, will be provided periodically to ensure a full understanding of the product and service line is maintained and that you have the tools to deliver effective sales presentations at all times. This role will be positioned so that the position holder will gain excellent exposure within the industry, meeting and working closely with leading clients and industry giants, building strong contact relationships.
