We are looking for an experienced Property Maintenance team member, to join our friendly team, on a full time basis. You will have a 'can do' attitude, be a problem solver and be able to perform basic electrical, plumbing, woodwork, changing and/or repairing locks, painting and decorating tasks etc.
As you will have access to the company van, you must have had a full licence for at least 10 years (for van insurance purposes) and have less than 6 points on your licence.
We will provide you access to a company van with traders permit and fuel paid for and a company credit card to pay for parts/paint/locks etc on the go.

MY Getaways is the Brighton & Hoves leading serviced accommodation/holiday let’s provider and we welcome over 25,000 guests to the City every year. Our office is based in Portslade at the bottom of Boundary Road on the seafront, 10 minutes walk from Portslade train station.
The business is growing at an incredible rate and we would like someone who wants to grow with us, therefore being ambitious and having a “can do” attitude will really help in this role.
Who Are you?
You must be able to turn your hand to all issues/repairs as they arise. You will be able to perform basic electrical, plumbing, woodwork, changing and/or repairing locks, painting and decorating tasks etc.
You will be the kind of person who is able to think on their feet, work under pressure and work to tight deadlines. You will understand how to prioritise tasks as they come along and be proactive with potential reactive maintenance issues as you spot them, whilst carrying out your normal routine property maintenance checks and be reactive when problems are reported.
The company will be able to provide basic and most power tools to carry out your task.
You will have a basic level of computer literacy and be able to check emails and update tasks on our maintenance system. The company will provide you with an iphone for work purposes only.
Ideally (but not essential) you would have experience in B&B's, hotels or serviced apartments before, as repairs must be of hotel standard.
Can you Drive?

What will my working week look like?
You will work a minimum of 40 hours per week and on a schedule of 5 days in every 7 days, including every other weekend and bank holidays. Our busiest time of the year is school holidays and we therefore would not approve holiday during these busy periods. We may however honour any holidays already booked prior to you starting with us.
Pay and benefits
Salary of £25,000 per year payable monthly, annual performance based bonus scheme, company pension, paid overtime, friends and family discounts, property referral bonus scheme and 28 days holiday per year (including days in lieu for bank holidays).
Public and bank holidays are normal working days for us (excl. Xmas day), whilst you can take these days off, you will use your holiday entitlement to do so.
Start date
Ideally, the successful candidate would be able to start as soon as possible, depending on their notice period with current employers.
