The Marketing and Business Development manager is responsible for elevating GCVS’ brand recognition and the hospitals financial growth, including social media management, event management and business line development. They will coordinate with company executives, sales, and marketing professionals to review current market trends in order to propose new business ideas to improve revenue margins. They will also lead market research and interpret data to create strategic plans for improvements.

Job Relationships:
- Reports to the Hospital Director
- Works closely with the entire Leadership Team and department supervisors as well as the external marketing team.
- All GCVS employees.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
- Lead and negotiate contract terms with vendors and communicate with stakeholders.
- Gather and mine for useful information from client and competitor data.
- Create and lead presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
- Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business.
- Track, identify and add qualified prospects to the medical team.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
- Track and report on the status of proposal components.
- Conduct ongoing market research.
- Manage social media platforms and overall brand recognition.
- Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.
- Research organizations and individuals to find new business opportunities.
- Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
- Find and develop new markets and improve sales revenue.
- Plan and attend conferences, meetings, galas, and industry events.
- Develop goals for the business development team and business growth and ensure they are met.
- Train personnel and aid in helping team members develop their skills.
Job Requirements:
- Job allows employee to vary physical position or activity for comfort.
- Must be able to:
- Stand 10% or longer of an 8-hour workday.
- Walk up to 50% of an 8-hour workday.
- Sit 75% of an 8-hour workday.
- Requires ability to lift, up to 10 pounds continuously.
- Requires employee to bend, squat, kneel and reach above shoulder level frequently. Climb and twist occasionally.
- Requires repetitive use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation
- Exposure to high stress levels.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related area required.
- Experience in brand promotion, administrative duties, business social media, and business event organization required.
- Training in Microsoft office, business communications, and event organizing.
- Highly organized and able to meet specific time deadlines for projects and tasks.
- Decision-making: you will have to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.
- Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential. Candidate must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to education and more.
- Adapts positively to the ever-changing healthcare environment by supporting technology and process changes.
- Ability to empathize with others and demonstrate a values-based work style is required.
- Must possess excellent listening and interpersonal skills and problem-solving methods.
- Must be able to work varying hours as required.
- Must have advanced computer skills including working knowledge of office software and cloud services.
