Are you someone who is passionate about Supply Chain, organised, forward-thinking and with good people management skills?

At Artex we are hiring for a Supply Chain Manager to work in our Value Chain team.

You will have 4 direct reports and working as a team, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of the end-to-end supply chain including Purchasing, Material and Production Planning, Inventory Management and Forecasting. You will proactively support synergies and cross-brand activities within the wider Saint-Gobain supply chain networks and work closely with your peers to ensure that materials are delivered on time and in full to our customers.

Artex is a leading distributor of some of the UK's must-have construction brands, offering a diverse choice of over 500 trade and DIY products. We’ve been supplying customers of all shapes and sizes for over 80 years, and now tailor our offering to match the needs of merchants, decorator centres and DIY stores across the UK.

Once settled, this role can be worked on a part hybrid basis with 3 days in office and 2 at home.

What you will be doing:

• Provide an inspiring vision with a clear purpose and action plans in line with business priorities and goals, ensuring their team is part of the journey
• Responsible for the creation and delivery of customer-focused supply chain strategies and processes
• Support the S&OP process, including monitoring business trends and material availability, for all products through participating in relevant supply/demand reviews
• Identify and manage service level and cost reduction improvement projects within the wider business and Saint-Gobain
• Develop and maintain cross-functional and key stakeholder engagement to ensure that supply is guaranteed, and customer requirements can be met
• Lead the development and improvement of systems used within the supply chain

What we’re looking for:

• Experienced manager with the ability to lead and mentor a supply chain team
• Confident in analytical processing and the use of data
• Experienced in supply chain and scenario planning, being able to mitigate supply chain risks
• Knowledge in managing complex stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment
• Competent user of Microsoft Excel and SAP
