Position Insights & Objectives
Reporting directly to the CEO, this business development opportunity is an imperative appointment to the business as it expands its presence within the UK market.
A proven track record in business development, preferably within the flexible packaging industry, this role requires an in-depth knowledge of packaging materials, processes and technologies in order to convey the company goals and ambitions.
The business are relatively new to the UK market with their innovative packaging solutions, therefore seek to recruit an inspirational and driven sales professional who has an undoubted passion for sustainability in order to align with the companies vision.
Role in short
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy within the UK food-to-go markets that aligns with the companies goals and objectives
- · Identify and secure new business opportunities following extensive research within the UK markets.
- · Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in order to deliver their packaging requirements.
- · Review and explore customer feedback and competitive activities in order to identify and pursue new opportunities within the sector.
- Develop and execute engaging and factual presentations to potential customers
- · Be active and visible in the market in order to showcase the companies current profile and objectives within the sector.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction via communication and delivery on their set goals.
- · Lead negotiations and manage expectations with key accounts.
- · Deliver timely reports, presentations, and feedback to the board on progress within the UK market.
Requirements and Background
- · Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- · At least 2-3 years experience within a business development or sales role.
- Strong negotiating skills with the ability to identify buying signals and close sales.
- · Knowledge and experience working within flexible packaging within food-to-go markets.
- · Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- · Meticulous attention to detail with administrative tasks and note taking.
- · Outstanding communication skills with all levels of the business from shop floor to board level.
- · Strong research and analytical skills to be able to identity new business opportunities through the use of market data.
- Ability to make a favourable first time impression
- · Willingness to travel extensively to meet with customers and the wider business.

Education, Compensation, & Location
- · Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- · Salary negotiable, finding the right person is more important than the salary banding.
- · The position will be home-based with the necessity to carry out extensive UK travel, and some travel to HQ in Europe as required.

Salary: £40,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
