Job description

We are a reputable, family-run SME who are seeking a National Sales Executive to join our existing team, The company head office is based in Stamford, however this is a national role covering the UK. We offer a range of equipment within the forestry, tree surgery and garden maintenance industry. Your role as a BDM is to identify, develop, build, manage & deliver business development sales targets via management of relationships with new & existing clients, generation of new sales leads, & maintaining relationships with new contacts. You will also develop, implement sales activities, initiatives to drive revenues & profit within the guidelines set. This is a national role, that will require travel across the UK so you must be willing to travel.

Key duties and responsibilities....

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Drive new business development to achieve the company objectives
  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients
  • Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the industry and positioning
  • Complete tenders as and when required
  • Represent the company at customers, shows and other external events
  • Generation of leads and opportunities
  • Send and follow up quotations/price lists.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Sales (KAM, BDM, Negotiation)
  • Proven track record in a field based role
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm (with a degree of flexibility)

Benefits

  • Salary £40k - £42,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
