Business Development Manager
- Basic Salary: £30,000 to £50,000 DOE
- Commission structure
- Travel expenses paid for

Do you have sales experience within diesel engines in the Maritime / Marine / Oil and Gas industries and enjoy the convenience of working from home? Enjoy meeting customers and building relationships? And like the idea that you will occasionally get to explore new countries when dealing with international clients? My client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team selling their range of services into the industrial diesel engine market. This is an opportunity to become a central part of a business, giving you excellent career prospects and the opportunity to earn excellent commission. They are looking for a dynamic individual to increase sales through existing and new business around the UK and further afield.
The Candidate: Business Development Manager
The successful candidate will be positive and confident in their ability, a self-motivated decision maker, and will have most of the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the Maritime / Marine / Oil and Gas industries.
- Knowledge of diesel engines i.e. components.
- Increase the performance of the business through a mix of account management and new business.
- Willing to occasionally travel throughout the UK or Scotland and occasionally internationally for customer or office visits.
- Must have your own vehicle and a full UK driver’s licence.
- Experience in a similar position such as Sales Representative, Area Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Field Sales, Sales Engineer or External Sales.
- Use both leads provided plus your own methods in generation new customers.
As the majority of this role can be done remotely so you can live anywhere as long as you are happy to commute occasionally to customer sites, the office and internationally. This could be: London, Reading, Cambridge, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
