We're looking for highly ambitious, resilient and entrepreneurial minded Business Development Executives to join our rapidly growing team based in Salford Quays, just outside of Manchester City Centre.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Create awareness of the R&D tax initiative - educate our potential clients on the value of the scheme and use your specialist knowledge and highly sophisticated approach to help businesses evaluate their eligibility from both a financial and technical perspective, by understanding their business and their requirements.
- Develop strong relationships with potential prospects to position Alexander Clifford & Co as the trusted choice for R&D tax credits, identifying and evaluating the potential of those we can work with as clients and/or introducers/referrers.
- Create opportunities through personalised outreach across a variety of channels - including targeted calls, emails and LinkedIn.
- Proactively develop new business opportunities, consulting with, and looping in technical colleagues appropriately.
- Uses our CRM system to effectively manage your relationships and prospects pipeline, to allow for accurate forecasting and reporting, and to ensure you meet your KPI's.
- As a representative of Alexander Clifford & Co, maintain consistently superior standards of professional conduct, customer service, communication and behaviour.
- Share sales best practice, knowledge and experience with your wider team, helping to build skills and experience for team success.
- Consistently hit sales targets set and always aim for the stars!
Qualities and skills

- Desire to learn and understand the R&D initiative - with the ability to comprehend technical knowledge quickly and communicate appropriately.
- A self starter using initiative when it comes to getting things done efficiently and solving problems that may arise.
Qualifications and experience
- 3+ years' experience in a fast-paced B2B relationship development, business development, account management or sales role.
- Experience in, or working with, businesses in industries such as IT, software, manufacturing, engineering, professional services or a tech startup would be highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable success in delivering against KPI's and sales targets.
- Proficient when it comes to using technology and computers.

Salary: £24,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
