Position Overview
We are looking for a talented candidate to fill a Business Development Representative (BDR) role at Lightcast. This person will develop leads and nurture prospective customer relationships resulting in new sale opportunities. The BDR will primarily support the Sales Team in their outbound prospecting and appointment setting, as well as work with Marketing to qualify inbound leads. We value attention to detail, competitiveness, organization, agility, and teaming. In this role, highly successful candidates will learn the Lightcast sales process and have potential for advancement into an Account Executive role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform thorough research and discovery to inform prospecting campaigns for Account Executives
- Leverage technology stack (Ex. SalesForce, SalesLoft, Hubspot and Google Docs) to maintain high internal data quality
- Pre-qualify inbound leads from marketing to determine whether the prospective client is ready to speak with an Account Executive about one of our solutions
- Use research, creativity, and analysis to craft and deliver relevant prospecting emails, phone calls, and social media messaging with the goal of setting a qualified sales call or demo for the Account Executive
- Execute outbound prospecting campaigns to identify, develop and qualify leads to the point where the prospective client is ready to speak with an Account Executive about one of our solutions
Requirements
- Interested in the field of professional sales and selling
- Energetic, curious, and apt to problem-solve
- Work independently without constant oversight
- Willing to learn and be coached – we will mentor, develop, and train you
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on written communication
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience desired
This is a full time position, including salary, bonus incentives and benefits, with a career trajectory towards an Account Executive role.
