About us

Man for all Seasons is a company in Plymouth, Devon. We are professional, fast-paced and fun, and our goal is to provide high quality and professional garden maintenance and landscaping services to clients across the whole of the South West. We currently operate two gardening teams and one landscaping team as well as in house design services and project management.

Now approaching our busiest time of year, we are looking to recruit a professional gardener to our team at Man for all Seasons. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative and really be able to hit the ground running.

We are based in Plympton and we cover all aspects of domestic and commercial horticulture, maintenance and landscaping across Devon and Cornwall. The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience in amenity horticulture and a good level of plant knowledge at RHS Level 2 or higher. We appreciate someone's experience may well outweigh qualifications so please do get in touch if this is the case.

A PA1 and PA6a Spraying licence and chainsaw licence is preferred but not essential as we operate training programmes. Experience with landscaping works is also beneficial but not essential. A full clean driving licence is required and a full enhanced DBS check may be carried out at the companies request and expense.

We run a tight ship here at Man for all Seasons, but we’re a friendly bunch too with a diverse range of work and clients - no two days are the same.

Job summary: Working on your own or as part of a team, responsible for the regular maintenance of our client’s gardens. To include tasks such as grass cutting, strimming, lawn treatments, weeding, hedge cutting, pruning, leaf collection, spraying, mulching, and planting as part of the day to day work. Assisting in landscaping projects and assisting where required on hard landscaping projects.

Responsible to: Managing director

Working hours: Full time 0730-1700 in winter, 0730-1730 in summer. We also offer Saturday work and overtime during our peak seasons.

Salary and pay: Up to £26,500 dependant on experience and subject to a probationary period of 6 months. Company pension eligibility after 3 months.
