What does the role of a Business/ Data Analyst look like?
In this integral role, you will be working Monday to Friday working with operational management and senior leaders to provide data solutions.

Skill & Experience:
· Strong experience in collaborative working, including working with senior leaders.
· Experience in data analysis, trending and KPI reporting.
· 2-3 years of previous experience working in a data-related role
· 2-3 years of reporting in Power BI
· Experience in working to deadlines
· Strong communication skills
· Strong analytical skills
· Working knowledge of Power BI and SQL
· Experience connecting data sources via API into Power BI would be advantageous.
· Data Analysis related experience from the Insurance Industry would be advantageous.
· Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects and daily tasks
· Contributing to project work and playing a role in the delivery of projects.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office software, including Access
· Self-motivated and highly organised.
· Enjoy problem-solving.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with operational management and senior leaders to provide new data solutions whilst challenging assumptions and providing expert opinion.
- Identifying trends and KPIs to support business strategy.
- Support the BI strategy on best practices in BI design and implementation.
- Review and enhance current BI solutions.
- Investigate alternative data solutions and integration of data from multiple platforms.
- Assist in the delivery and integration of new technology.
- Project manage BI projects.
- Embedding new BI applications through effective delivery of training and workshops.
- Liaise with operational staff to understand practices, identify inconsistencies, recommend and implement corrective measures, and create and run reports to track improvement.
- Write Power BI Reports and Dashboards for all areas of the business.
- Analyse operational data through Excel and Power BI Reports.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings with the team, peers, senior management and Directors
