Business Researcher – Sales Support – Swinton Manchester
Salary: £23,000
Hours per week – 37.5
Mon – Fri (Friday Is working from home)
Holidays 25 Days and all bank holidays and your birthday day off.

Reporting to: Head of Business Development
Overview:
The key purpose of the Business Development Researcher is to work alongside the Business Development team with the assistance and preparation of data, researching target audience and updating the CRM with contact details and lead information.
You'll work within the CRM solution by checking data and ensuring the information held is up-to-date and accurate with relevant contact details so the team can make outbound calls efficiently. This will involve cross-refencing with our data providers and LinkedIn as well as making outbound calls. You'll also work with their website tracking system and will be responsible for updating the CRM with valuable insight, passing any social media leads to the Business Development Consultancy team so they can make contact immediately.
In addition, you'll also work on various business research projects on an-ad hoc basis.
This role will be an excellent starting position for individuals who wish to move into our Business Development Consultancy team longer-term, and build a successful career in software sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Sales Manager to establish key markets to assist with prospecting data.
- Collating and researching prospecting lists via LinkedIn, CRM and data providers.
- Updating CRM records when you become aware of any changes with contacts/their businesses.
- Working closely with other departments where required within the company to ensure success in delivering a quality service to our clients.
- Through optimising your own personal behaviours, you'll support the business in driving world-class customer engagement and business performance.
Skills & Experience required:
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE Level - Maths & English essential.
- Experience in a contact centre or customer service environment is essential
- Experience in data entry and administration is preferred.
- Experience in the use of a CRM to record all activities (training will be provided in the use of specific CRM and marketing automation platform).
- An understanding of social selling and the Marketing/Sales funnel management.
- An interest in technology and how software helps businesses grow.
- The ability to build rapport with prospective customers through friendly, engaging communication.
