Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to undertake the role of Health, Safety and Estates Business Partner. You will support the Head of department in relation to the Health and Safety and Estates strategies, providing Business Partner leadership across a portfolio of Academies, covering required estates and facilities improvements.
You will work closely with your specific schools to ensure they are managing their Estate and Health and Safety compliance effectively, using the H&S Management System to ensure buildings meet statutory compliance regulations. You will also oversee a portfolio of school development projects, seeking support from the Head of Health, Safety and Estates as necessary and project management for refurbishment and minor new build projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our family of schools and to shape the future direction and strategy of our estate and sustainability plan. You will be joining at a time of significant growth within our estate function with four of our secondary schools accepted onto the DfE’s School Rebuilding Programme.
The requirements:
- Considerable experience of maintenance and health and safety (in a professional setting)
- Experience in project and facilities management
- Experience of managing capital projects
The Nova offices are in the Sir Colin Campbell building on the University of Nottingham Jubilee Campus. This is a modern, purpose-built campus with many state of the art, sustainable and environmentally friendly buildings.
