The Role:

The Business Analyst – Commercial – Lifesciences will collaborate with client business and IT Commercial Teams to collect the requirements for commercial business IT support from stakeholders in the client’s commercial organisation and translate these into set of requirements across multiple commercial processes and multiple IT systems supporting the processes.

The role is a European focused role and requires a deep understanding of a Life sciences company’s commercial processes and how these may differ based on the different country markets in Europe. As such it is a requirement that the Business analyst understand how these commercial processes might be executed differently in different European markets. In particular the clients core and focus markets are Germany, France, the Nordics.

The Business Analyst must also have a good understanding of the Veeva CRM Cloud/Platform and its individual modules supporting commercial organisations, in particular prior knowledge of the following modules will be preferred – CRM, Events, Align, Promomats and Nitro.

The Business Analyst should have a level of experience on the platform and some of it modules whereby the person will be able to propose different potential configurations of the platform to meet the client’s business requirements and make recommendations. The Business Analysts should be able to articulate the client’s business requirement as a technical configuration of the platform.

Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for engaging with end-users in selected European markets and:

Understand how the company executes its commercial processes in the market.

Be able to probe the client about their commercial process from a position of insight into local market practices in the client country.

Be able to probe and solicit requirements for IT support of these processes based on both an insight into the commercial processes but also an insight into the local market practices.

Capture, summarise and articulate these requirements into

A Business Requirements document

A Solution design specification

A Functional Requirements Specification document

The person needs to be able to conduct 1:1 interview, run group session and facilitate workshops.

The person must be a good oral communicator – well articulated and precise.

The individual must have prior experience developing Functional Requirements and understand how to articulate these so a developer can configure a system and a tester can write test cases around the requirement.

Skills and Experience:

  • Min 10 years’ experience with key commercial pharmaceutical processes
  • Min 5 years in a similar Business Analyst role
  • Prior experience with the Veeva CRM Platform and its family of products will be highly advantageous.

Qualifications required: B.Sc. in business or engineering or life sciences related field.

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: £192.79-£707.43 per day
