Purpose of job
Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.
The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.
The Business Analyst will work within Zest’s IT team to support them in designing and developing best-in-class software solutions across our operation. You will work across the entire business, understanding the business requirements and needs for processes and software, collecting the information and structuring the appropriate documentation needed for software deployment to succeed.
Key Accountabilities
The role is responsible for the following:
- Conduct workshops with key systems users
- Collate and document requirements from a variety of sources
- Write clear and testable user stories with acceptance criteria
- Act as a liaison between the development team, and internal business stakeholders such as marketing and operations
- Produce user documentation and support articles
- Plus any other duties as required by the leadership team
Outcome, Results and Key performance indicators
- Meeting the process & software requirements for teams across the business
- Successfully meeting the goals of the IT team
Key Relationships
- Internal – Product owners, Leadership team, Developers, Designers, Project Managers, Testers, SMEs, Marketing team
- External – SaaS providers and support, Outsourced Customer Support (AA), charge point end users
Knowledge and Skills
- 3 years’ experience in a commercial environment and similar role
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to see the wider business perspective
- Ability to quickly understand what matters to the end user and put recommendations in place around removing barriers to access
- An understanding of Agile processes and principles

Qualifications
Ideally a qualification in an analytical subject
