Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday 9-5

An exciting opportunity for an eHealth Business Analyst/Project Lead has arisen in our NHSGGC eHealth Strategy & Programmes Team. You will work with our Senior eHealth Team and users to deliver a number of digital programmes to support service transformation across the NHSGGC Board Area in delivering digital programmes across specialist applications.

Working closely with healthcare professionals across the Board you will contribute to setting out how digital technology will help transform services to provide a truly integrated and modern health and social care service.

You will carry out business process mapping and contribute to reengineering and redesign of current and proposed clinical and non-clinical services. The post will include a varied and interesting range of project management duties and you will work with services across national and contractor services, community, hospital and HSCP.

A significant proportion of your duties will involve working with all levels of staff across the Board and will also include other external organisations and as such a high level of interpersonal communication skills is expected.

We are looking to appoint a candidate who can demonstrate applying excellent planning and organisational skills to their daily work tasks, work well under pressure and have a high level of attention to detail. The ability to work as part of a team and have a clear understanding of the importance of customer service is key.

You should be qualification to degree level or equivalent experiential knowledge, preferably within the NHS or public sector and have 1-3 years practical experience in the specification, development and implementation of information systems (preferably clinical systems) using different methodologies, e.g agile.
