Job Description Summary
Business Analyst - Responsible for the requirements analysis, process design and solution design for a medium sized product and/or project in order to realise customer value through excellence and execution. Include using Business Analysis skills to support the Product Owner or Project Manager to identify and understand the business need, analyse and prioritise the requirements, through to assessing, designing, testing and implementing agreed solutions. Coaching and developing others to achieve analysis excellence is also a key part of the role.Chapter Lead - Some roles also include Chapter Lead accountabilities. A Chapter Lead is a role that blends both deep domain expertise with a passion for coaching and developing people. The main role of the Chapter Lead is to grow and develop the capabilities of their chapter members within their specific discipline, job family or role type.

About the Role
Change is a constant across our organisation and the role of the Lead Business Analyst has evolved to meet the ever-growing complexities and technology capabilities which pose both threat and opportunity to the group.
As the Lead Business Analyst, we are looking for someone who can lead by example and provide support to the Product Owner, Scrum Master and junior BA's.
Key Attributes:
- Mentor and support the development of Business Analysts within the team
- Demonstrates a positive can do attitude
- Adaptable with the ability to learn and use new skills.
- A great communicator, capable of delivering clear and concise messages to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in writing.
- Having some knowledge of Pensions and/or Retirement Products would be advantageous but not crucial.

At the core of your role you'll:
- Support the Product Owner to understand business problems, critically evaluating business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view. Identify underlying business needs to be addressed, challenge existing practices and ensure requirements will address the defined business problem.
- Translate business needs into project objectives, features, and requirements. Providing challenge, conflict resolution, validation, and proposed solutions as appropriate.
- Have experience of applying skills from multiple subject areas such as Operating Model, Process Design and Technology.
- Support with testing preparation and acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets the identified business need and be accountable for capturing acceptance criteria that fulfil the team’s definition of "Done".
- With exposure to business architecture and both Waterfall and Agile delivery, help to define scope and elicit requirements; write Epics and User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, challenge business partners to drive out the real business outcomes that are required to realise the customer and business propositions; not simply recording requirements.
- Ensure feature team requirements and proposed design solutions align with Group policies and all regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Lead on shaping, requirements gathering, design and identifying solutions. Working with key partners to gain approval.
