Your role at a glance


We have two brand new opportunities here at Legal & General within our Retail business for two Business Analysts within Mortgage Services. The Business Analyst will work both independently and alongside other BA’s and project managers to undertake detailed requirements analysis, document processes, contribute to business cases and perform user acceptance testing. You will be writing detailed requirement specifications and contributing to the production of solution documentation while supporting delivery of solutions and ensuring the requirements are met through build, test, and implementation. You'll have the opportunity to work on both BAU change and transformation.

This role could be based in Barnsley, Cardiff, Hove or London (hybrid)

What you'll be doing
  • The definition and agreement of requirements for all parties impacted by an approved change, including the traceability of these requirements through build, test, implementation, and benefits realisation to evidence and ensure delivery meets the specified acceptance criteria for the change.
  • You'll be completing business analysis tasks, adhering to L&G Mortgage Service's and L&G standards, ensuring there is consistent high-quality output to support data-led decision making
  • Co-ordinating and managing the analysis activity for any assigned change, this may include facilitation and coordination of requirements workshops, solution discussions, conversations and decision making with stakeholders.
  • You'll have the opportunity to provide expertise from the perspective of the role. Ensuring risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies are raised and communicated through to the project, programme, or Sponsor as appropriate to ensure that the Sponsor can make data-led decisions.
  • Working with the technical delivery partners (L&G Mortgage Service and 3rd party) to both inform the initiation and analysis phase as well as ensuring the high-quality delivery of designs and solutions that meet the acceptance criteria of the signed off requirements.
What we're looking for

Through the selection process we will be looking for a blend of the right behaviours and characteristics alongside demonstrable experience in a Business Analyst role.

  • We would love to see some experience of agile and waterfall delivery.
  • Proven track record of delivery of good quality analysis and requirements gathering techniques.
  • The ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience of best practice in Business Analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience up to Managing director Level
