Business Analyst
Salary: From £36,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience
Contract: 12-month fixed term contract
Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home or at any of our main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester and Harwell)

About the role:

Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO)
The team sit within the strategy & corporate services directorate and are responsible for delivering strategic projects across the organisation. We operate an Enterprise Project Management Office which acts as a centre of excellence for all projects and programmes within Jisc.

Business Analyst will be part of the EPMO but will work on a variety of digital transformation and business change projects as part of an internal change and transformation programme within the Jisc Group Chief Technology Office (GCTO).

You will work with a variety of internal, and sometimes external, stakeholders to support the successful delivery of ambitious projects and programmes which make a real difference to how we operate.

Responsibilities will include:

• Investigating, modelling, defining, and documenting relevant business processes – as-is and to-be
• Working with process owners and technical teams to design to-be process flows, including defining how these will be monitored/measured to determine effectiveness, as well as aligning dependent cross-functional processes and systems.
• Engaging with stakeholders across the business to ensure that user stories are clearly defined and verified
• Managing business requirements and ensuring they are delivered by the project to the business users’ satisfaction
• Supporting the project manager with project management tasks as required, e.g. risk management.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience supporting the development of core business systems (such as Salesforce CRM)
• Ability to apply a broad range of business analysis tools and techniques
• Demonstrable experience of using software tools to support project delivery, for example Jira, Confluence, MS Visio
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, delivering solutions to meet strategic business needs
• Previous experience of providing technical business analysis would be desirable
