Title: Manager, Data Analyst
Duties: The Manager, Data Analyst at ExlService.com LLC in New York, NY will provide assistance for health care projects with a focus on industrial pharmaceuticals through SAS tools. Ensure development of a quality product carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle for all project. Develop data formatting and clean criteria from various data sources. Review client data feeds and map to SCIO Standard data warehouse. Engage in code review, documentation, and execution of production and implementation process. Review results from the production and implementation process. Interpret and analyze multi-dimensional data. Coordinate and prioritize analytic projects, including client communication, planning, and identifying operational process flow. Automate the production data loads as per the defined standards. Perform ad hoc analysis of data sources for all external and internal requirements. Participate in critical review and revision of existing systems for updates and enhancements. Generate tables using Proc Report, Proc Tabulate, and Proc Print procedures. Provide product support, defect triaging, fix and testing. Perform statistical analysis and create reports using Proc Feq, Proc Tabulate, Proc Mean, Proc Univariate, Proc Transpose and suitable options for these procedures. Use table driven architecture to handle large amounts of health care data. Use SAS tools to conduct data cleaning, transformation, validation, and model building. Perform procedures such as PROC MIXED, PROC LOGISTIC, PROC LIFE TEST, PROC PHREG, PROC NPAR1WAY and PROC MULTITEST. Produce data in various output formats including HTML, RTF, XML, PCL, PDF using Output Delivery System (ODS). Develop standard macros and using existing macros by defining the macro parameters and various debugging options. Mentor and guide fellow analysts in data validation and programming. Will work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US. Salary: $153,525 per year.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in an IT or Healthcare related field plus 3 years of experience using analytics for medical claims. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in an IT or Healthcare related field plus 5 years of experience working using analytics for medical claims. Must have 3 years of experience with each of the following: (1) SAS programming; (2) data analysis; (3) Macros and Jobs; (4) Microsoft SQL Server (version 2008 or later); and (5) creating and maintaining complex T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures. Must also have experience with analysis and database management using SAS on pharmacy data through coursework, employment, or Base SAS certification.
