WHAT TO EXPECT


Our Business Delivery Platform (BDP) team is responsible for the selection, development and support of all the Purchasing & Cross Process interacting tools (e.g. Buyers, Suppliers, Integration with Engineering Processes). We are currently embarking on a major toolset modernisation programme that will transform the way in which we develop our vehicles, and we are looking for talented individuals who can help us to accelerate this transformation.


We use agile development methodologies as the operating model for this department. In this role you will be joining our Deployment team and will be working closely with your teammates and customers to deliver working capability at pace.


The role of a Business Analyst in this team is to proactively lead or contribute to operational effectiveness of processes, with the stakeholder experience in mind. You will translate business needs into detailed requirements, determining and defining all of the approved features and functions.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


  • Assess, monitor and suggest appropriate strategies for engaging with the super user network to assure success of launch of new capabilities into the business.

  • Lead discovery workshops with relevant squad members and SME’s to formally capture current As-Is business process, data sources, dependencies and waste, working with the Technical Leads

  • Work with Developers and Group Product Owners to create the design and implementation of the To-Be business process (including creating SIPOC’s, integrated process flows and value stream maps)

  • Design, describe and communicate impact of process changes on key business roles to Business Change Coordinators and Trainers in the team

  • Ensure global business processes maintain alignment with the overall Transformation Process Architecture and are compliant with set regulations and standards

  • Highlight emerging issues and risks of the Project and work with the squad, to problem solve and generate appropriate solutions and mitigation.

  • Develop, create and maintain project reporting on the development of the global business processes

  • Coordinate planning and support BPT (Business Process Testing) phase to validate process design is fit for purpose

  • Engage the Super User Network in the deployment of the capability


WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience


Essential:

  • Experience in Process Development and Process Improvement

  • Experience of using Microsoft applications; Visio; PowerPoint; Outlook etc.Experience of using Atlassian applications; JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience or exposure of agile

  • Experience of collaboration and cross functional team working

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Virtual team collaboration

  • Experience of Value Stream mapping

  • Knowledge of best practice for processes

  • Ability to lead and influence and develop strong relationships


Desirable:

  • A high level of competence across JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint

  • Ability to deliver with urgency

  • Ability to work with ambiguity

For promotions, the salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including the size of and skills required for the role, the external market value of the role and your individual knowledge and experience.
