Business Analyst London, England

British Heart Foundation
Full Time London, England 41000 - 44000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Are you an analytical thinker and problem solver? Do you have proven experience working on numerous technology implementation projects and/or programmes?

Do you want to use your skills to help British Heart Foundation (BHF) fund even more scientific breakthroughs to help us save and improve the lives of families and loved ones?

If so, you could be the Business Analyst we are looking for!

About the role

As one of our team of Business Analysts, you’ll lead, coordinate, and deliver analysis activities on projects across our Retail, Medical, HR and Technology portfolios.

Establishing close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll focus on the customer experience through gathering, articulating, and prioritising requirements for business improvement initiatives and play a key role in bridging the gap between the needs of the organisational and technology solutions.

Working predominately using a waterfall delivery methodology, you’ll play a key role in shaping the success of technology initiatives through implementing analysis tools and techniques to enhance process, user experience and implementation alignment through to solution outcome.

Through effective data and information gathering, as well as effective facilitation, you will identify business challenges and work with technical teams to create effective solutions, considering process alignment and documentation throughout.

Working arrangements

Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

Need more help balancing your work and home life? Talk to us about what flexibility is available at the application or interview stage.

About you

With previous knowledge of working as a Business Analyst working with large organisations to implement business change, you’ll have previous experience of working within PRINCE2 and Agile SCRUM methodologies.

You’ll have a proven track record of building positive relationships and working with business stakeholders, colleagues, support teams and suppliers. With experience of planning and designing analysis workstreams across project and product initiatives, you’ll have previous experience developing business cases for strategic change initiatives, and reviewing business processes to define effective improvements

To be successful in this role you’ll have the following experience and attributes:
  • Previous experience working on technology implementation projects and/or products
  • Strong team working skills, able to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with a variety of personalities and situations across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, able to effectively adapt style, where appropriate to the audience, at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and different ranges of work
  • Able to take ownership of challenges, taking the initiative and making decisions with a can-do attitude to delivering on expectations
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude with the tenacity to assist team solutions successfully through to implementation

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Business Analyst who can make an active contribution to developing the Business Analysis service within BHF.
