Being inside the Bango circle means global merchants including Amazon, Google and Microsoft can work together with payment partners from Africa to the Americas, accelerating the performance of everyone on the inside.

Bango. Thrive inside the circle.

The Role

As a Business Analyst in the Delivery team, reporting to the Director of Business Analysis, you are responsible for ensuring the successful integrations of selected customer systems into the Bango platform. This includes liaising directly with Bango customers and the building of strong relationships with them. You will develop complex connectivity solutions and will be working directly with the Bango pre-sales teams, integration engineers, developers, and testers to ensure requirements are both understood and met. You will also ensure that any changes required during the project are correctly captured.

You will work closely with the Bango managed services team during the integration process to onboard and enable the effective provision of excellent customer support following deployment of the solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysing the capabilities and compatibility of customer business systems and APIs, then designing solutions that are also compatible with the Bango Platform.
  • Production of detailed technical solution documentation (i.e. interface designs, sequence diagrams, testing requirements and handover specifications)
  • Follow and help refine best practices of the delivery team.
  • Configuring integrations and testing the new customer connections.
  • Work with other departments to ensure Bango platform benefits are designed and communicated effectively to customers.
  • Deliver solutions that are robust, incorporate Bangos monitoring requirements, are easily supportable in production, and which meet stringent customer and Bango quality requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Good understanding of Web APIs (e.g., REST), including testing using tools such as Postman.
  • A strong communicator (verbal and written), participating in and often leading discussions and planning/design sessions (both internally and externally).
  • Proven experience in interpreting third party systems to develop and document integration solutions.
  • Experienced engaging with payment providers to troubleshoot during the integration process and identify ways to streamline and increase efficiency.
  • Customer focused, with excellent communication skills and the ability to present in person and via video/phone conferences to global customers, occasionally early morning/late evening as required to meet the demands of global working.
  • Highly diligent, professional outlook, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • You will thrive in a targeted and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
  • A thirst for learning and continued professional technical development.
  • Your proactive mindset will afford you a great deal of autonomy in the role.
  • Accountability and Reliability will be key personal values for you.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in a Software as a Service (SAAS) company.
  • Sound understanding of Cloud architecture principles and platform (e.g. AWS).
  • Experience with cross-border projects across multiple time zones and different business cultures.
  • Understanding of mobile network operator charging APIs and flows.
  • Available for occasional international travel.
