Business Administrator Remote
Job description
As Avantix continues to expand, we are seeking a part-time Business Administrator to join our team and play a crucial part in our growth. The role will provide essential administrative support to our Directors, HR and Finance Leads, and is pivotal in maintaining efficient business operations, managing day-to-day administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth running of our business behind the scenes.
The role is home-based, 14 hours a week, worked over 3-4 days a week to suit you and Avantix.
About you:
- Previous experience in a diverse administrative / business support role
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills inc Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc
- Familiarity with using Finance, HR and other online systems; full training will be given
- Well organised, good at prioritising and managing work from multiple work channels and people, excellent time management, able to meet deadlines
- Pro-active, use initiative, tenacious, see things through to completion
- Flexible, adaptable, able to cope with changing priorities, remain calm
- Excellent verbal and written communication, polite, discrete, tactful
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
Other requirements:
- Comfortable working on a hybrid basis which means mostly working from home, with some occasional travel to team meetings, usually around Bristol.
- Due to the nature of our work, you may be required to hold UK Security Clearance, which means as a minimum you have lived in the UK for the last five consecutive years.
About our role:
- HR Administration – Support the HR Lead with onboarding new starters, maintain records, administer employee benefits, Payroll input
- Recruitment Administration – Oversee recruitment campaigns including managing online vacancies, candidate shortlisting and liaison, arranging interviews, pre-employment checks
- Finance Administration – Support the Finance lead with invoicing, expenses, credit control, timesheets
- Events and Facilities – Organise business and social events, prepare agendas and presentations, source venues, be the point of contact with industry bodies.
- Procurement – Order branded merchandise, manage Company purchased services such as insurances, stationery and other supplies
- Security Clearance - Manage the process including liaising with the sponsor, applicants’ paperwork, reference checks, notifying team travel plans, etc.
- Business Travel – Source and reserve accommodation and arrange travel for the Avantix Leadership Team and others as requested
- Leadership Support - Provide administrative support to the Avantix Leadership Team, including managing correspondence, inboxes, diaries, holidays, etc.
