Job description
We are looking for a Yard Operative/Relief Van Driver to join us at Huws Gray Redditch!
If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. We rely on our Yard Operatives to provide excellent service to our customers, through knowledge of our stock and making sure products are ready for deliveries and collections. Working in one of our branches you’ll be part of a team where everyone is putting the effort in to offer brilliant customer service and to get the job done.
Here’s a quick overview of some of the things you can expect to do as a Yard Operative/Relief Van Driver with Huws Gray:
- Serving our customers out in the yard, providing a good knowledge of the best products for their projects
- Supporting with incoming deliveries, making sure stock in the yard is put away correctly and kept tidy in line with Health & Safety guidelines
- Working as a team to help our drivers by loading and unloading vehicles
- Delivering customer orders as and when required
- Safeguarding against loss and theft of stock by being security conscious

Although not essential, a forklift/telehandler licence would be an advantage for this role.
