The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a Bus Driver. Bus Drivers are valuable members of the team who provide safe, efficient and punctual transportation of students.

Position Details:

  • Permanent Part Time

Route:

  • Nqy 3, Norquay North into Norquay

Term:

  • To commence September 5, 2023.

The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 10 Education or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license with "S" endorsement
  • Clean drivers abstract

Bus Driver Duties:

  • Support safe, positive environments for students.
  • Ensure student transportation is provided with due regard for safety.
  • Provide supervision of students during transit and assist in supervision during boarding and unloading.
  • Keep students on the bus until regular school supervision is provided.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal or Transportation Manager and those listed in Job Description – Transportation: Bus Driver.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Daily rate of pay dependent upon length of route and salary in accordance with the Board approved DPEA salary grid.

Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
