Kingspan Insulation are a leading manufacturer of high-performance rigid insulation within the construction industry. We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Scientist to join our team at our Pembridge Site.

What’s the role and what are we looking for?

The Building Scientist will be responsible for conducting Research programs that generate Unique Selling Points for Kingspan Insulation Products, writing up marketing-facing reports that convey that research. The USPs are likely to be based on building psychics, materials science, fire science, sustainability and cost, amongst others, and involve comparisons with the performance of other insulation materials.

This position forms a key part of the Divisional Building Technology Team, working with Marketing and Technical teams globally across the Insulation Business.

What we are looking for in our Building Scientist;

  • University degree in a relevant technical discipline (Geography, Physics, Biology, Engineering etc.)
  • Natural aptitude to learn and improve your own knowledge
  • Although not essential, an understanding of the construction industry and building products would be desirable
  • Experience of developing and coaching a successful team
  • Strong report writing skills with an analytical/detail orientated approach
  • Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Natural collobarator and enjoys being part of a team
  • Happy to travel globally to sites within the Kingspan Insulation Division
