Your Role
The role of the SEO Junior Analyst would be undertaken with the full support of the Senior SEO Analysts. The tasks assigned would be carefully selected to help the right person to develop as an SEO professional. This will include but is not limited to:
Client Management
As a new member of staff you will be assigned some clients. These will be some of our smaller clients that will be manageable. You will have the full support of the Senior SEO Analyst. You will also be assigned tasks to complete e.g. creating or removing internal linking or reconnecting backlinks.
Site Map Planning
When new sites launch a new site map will need negotiating with the client. This will contain the content they currently have and content they wish to have. Through communication with the clients, you will agree on a sitemap. Again, the Senior SEO Analyst will make sure you are fully supported.
301 redirects
Once the sitemap is finalized, a redirect list will need to be made connecting the sitemap of the old site to the site map of the new site. Through liaison with the web team, you will marry the old site to the new site.
Dealing with any resulting 404s
After the new site is launched any 404s in search console will need addressing either by modifying internal links or filling in any gaps in the 301 redirect list. Using search console, you will identify any 404s.
Monitoring and Analyzing Traffic
Once the new site is launched traffic will need to be monitored and any lost traffic will need to be reclaimed. Using analytics, you will identify where traffic is missing.
Person Skills
Proactive in reporting potential improvements to increase traffic and search visibility.
Proactive in improving the service provided by Simpleview and committed to the success of the client websites.
Motivated and Positive approach to SEO and the benefits it can bring to the organisation.
Proactive in seeking tasks from Senior SEO Analyst for the improvement of the performance of the websites and the SEO service.
