The Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Bristol is a leading centre with expertise ranging from the atomic- to population-levels, and with an increasing focus on using its fundamental research expertise to solve major societal grand challenges by working with industry and third sector partners across the globe. As part of the University of Bristol’s new strategic plan we are seeking to appoint a diverse range of talented and innovative academic staff to help us grow our research and education endeavor through a major new investment in Life Sciences. What will you be doing?
The newly appointed academics will engage with teaching and research in a growing and successful Faculty. The appointments will further complement, as appropriate to the candidate’s field, work being undertaken in our University Research Institutes for Data Science (Jean Golding Institute), Global Change (Cabot Institute), and the Bristol BioDesign Institute, Bristol Centre for Agricultural Innovation, the Wolfson Bioimaging Facility, Proteomics and FACS Facilities and our Advanced Computing Research Centre.
Applicants will be considered in light of how they will help create new research opportunities within the Faculty of Life Sciences, more widely across the University, and with external partners.

You will have a research portfolio that provides evidence of academic skills, research experience and innovative approaches. You will have a strong commitment and aptitude for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and a willingness to provide an inspiring role model to our diverse student body.
