This exciting role sits within the newly formed Centre of Excellence team, which supports the growth of external Brands within Clothing & Home, forecast to deliver significant sales and profit over the next five years.

This is an admin support role, assisting the team in completing the crucial due diligence and setup tasks required when preparing to launch a brand with M&S. You will be involved in multiple steps within the onboarding process for each of the different operating models we use – be it wholesale, consignment, or dropship. You will be assisting on multiple brands at one time, supporting the Business Development team and Vendor Onboarding Expert with documentation, system setup and tracking of progress along the critical path.

Our aim is to become a retailer that Brands want to work with, with a great reputation in the industry. We want to be efficient in our processes and provide timely, accurate and relevant information.

This role is best suited to candidates who have a proven track record in administrative roles in Retail. Specific experience working in a retailer with external Brands would be preferred.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities

Day to Day ownership

  • Aid the Business Development and Centre of Excellence team in completing administrative tasks and documents
  • Working with other areas of the business to coordinate due diligence
  • Assisting the ESG manager researching brand sustainability compliance
  • Check, compile and manage internal and external documentation
  • Maintaining trackers and databases used by the team
  • Monitor the critical path to ensure key stages for launch within remit of the role are being completed on time
  • Completing setup for external brands within M&S systems

Strong Interpersonal skills

  • The role requires you have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to confidently collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally, with a focus on delivering results and support for the brand partners
  • In this role you must represent the Brands strategy, plans and team internally and the M&S brand externally.
