Job Introduction

William Grant & Sons have an exciting opportunity to join our Packaging Team at our site in Bellshill as a Bottling Team Member on a 6 month fixed term contract. This role involves safely operating machines, packaging when required and other production tasks to specified quality standards in compliance with the relevant legislation.

Main Responsibility

  • To safely operate a Production Line asset and/or other production line tasks to specified quality standards in compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Ensure that safe working practises and quality procedures are adhered to in line with ISO 9001, HACCP, environmental and HMRC requirements for compliance.
  • To operate and optimise at line standards to ensure repeatable, consistent and efficient performance adhering to production schedule. Ensure areas of improvement are raised, logged and actioned.
  • Carry out changeovers on assets safely following procedures to ensure right first time start up and optimum performance.
  • Conducts quality checks at predetermined frequencies in the process to ensure quality is being achieved and maintained. Takes appropriate corrective action if necessary.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and safety checks to maintain a safe and organised work environment.
  • Ensure housekeeping tasks, cleaning schedules and visual standards are completed and adhered to, to maintain a high level of GMP.
  • Contributes appropriately to team meetings and supports the implementation of team strategy, plans, TPS and continuous improvement projects.
  • Directly contribute to the bottling hall and team KPIs - EG. Safety, quality and efficiency
