Job summary

This role helps to deliver RBG Kew’s mission by working in a team undertaking cultivation, maintenance, record keeping and development of plant collections held within Kew’s Princess of Wales Conservatory, our most climatically diverse display glasshouse.

Job description

The role offers the exciting opportunity to work with some of the world’s rarest plant collections held in a diverse range of climatically controlled glasshouse zones ensuring the maintenance and development of Kew’s high standard horticultural displays. The successful applicant will also play a role in the implementation of Kew’s renowned and popular annual Orchid Festival, ensuring it is delivered within the time scale set and delivers the high horticultural standards expected. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist with other festivals and seasonal displays across the Glasshouse collections unit.

Person specification

To achieve the high horticultural standards desired candidates will require an eye for detail and take pride in their work ideally with previous experience maintaining high end displays - in a botanic garden or similar. A passion for plants and dedication to achieving outstanding results is essential.
