Job description

The purpose of the role is to respond to and deliver communications and other company data in accordance with lawful demands by law enforcement and government agencies within specified timescales, using Sky systems in accordance with the provisions of the relevant legislation and company policies and procedures. This includes the disclosure of data under a variety of lawful obligations and the implementation of Data Protection policy.

What you'll do:
  • Deliver information in an efficient, timely and accurate manner whilst aligning with the requirements of legislation as well as to agreed policies and procedures
  • Provide expertise to law enforcement agencies on the products and services available from the Sky Government & LEA Service Unit in line with appropriate legislation.
  • Looking out for new products and services within Sky and explain any implications to GLSU disclosure practices
  • Keeping tabs on all changes in statutory legislation and other obligations relating to information supplied to third parties and external agencies
  • To carry out general administrative duties as required ensuring smooth day to day running of the Unit.
  • To ensure that Sky deliver a consistent and professional service at all times.

What you'll bring:
  • Understanding of UK legal system, particularly in relation to knowledge concerning disclosure of data. Knowledge of Data Retention and Law Enforcement obligations for communications service providers, including IPA, DPA and the GDPR is an advantage.
  • Experience in a role with similar responsibility for communicating and dealing with customers including senior personnel and law enforcement
  • Be able to demonstrate ability to work and communicate effectively with people at all levels within an organisation.
  • Be able to work under pressure whilst being able to meet tight deadlines
  • Good knowledge of standard office IT packages and experience in learning specific IT software.
  • Good listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a desire for continuous improvement.
