Bookkeeping and VAT Return Manager- Banbury Office

About the Responsibilities:
You will be providing accountancy services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various industries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Taking overall responsibility for all of the Banbury office’s VAT return and management accounts
· Providing guidance and support to junior team members
· Review of management accounts and VAT returns.
· Preparing VAT returns and management accounts with more technical requirements
· Overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
· Effectively managing client communication
· Assisting clients with software and bookkeeping queries
· Responding to staff and client queries
Optional if experience allows:
· Preparation and review of annual statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns
· Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
· Responding to technical accounting and finance related queries from staff and clients
About the Applicant:

We require someone who:
· Is ACA/ACCA/QBE qualified
· Has experience of sole trade, partnership and limited company bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
· Has experience working within general practice
· Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and positive mindset
· Takes a commercial approach, keeping client’s best interests at the heart of everything
· Possesses excellent attention to detail
· Enjoys and sees the benefit in developing others
· Able to build strong relationships internally and externally
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
· Experience with a range of accounting software is desirable but as a minimum, knowledge of Xero and Quickbooks are required. Willingness to learn other software and assist clients with their own software as well.
Not essential:
· Has experience of UK GAAP FRS 105 and FRS 102
