Kenton Black Finance are delighted to be working with a multi-site Accounting firm with offices in London and the North. Due to continued growth they are now looking for a new Charity Bookkeeper with Cloud Accounting software knowledge

They offer a full range of services from the inception of the business concept, throughout growth of the entity and on to exit strategies. There is no typical clientele; they work with start-ups through to multinational, listed companies.
Their (Head Office) is based in the North West of England with a further 3 offices and plans for further expansion. The London practice opened in 2018 and since then has grown rapidly standing at circa 15 staff and still growing extensively and boasting an exciting client base made up of well-known media personalities and actors, cutting edge restaurants, arts organisations, political parties, museums and many more.
THE ROLE
Why work for just one charity, when you can be a trusted financial assistant for multiple organisations across a diverse client base, supporting them all to achieve their charitable objectives? You will be responsible for maintaining the records and assisting with the reporting for their high growth charity clients’ whilst building strong client relationships at Exec and Trustee level.
They have an exciting base of non-profit clients, including museums, arts organisations, human rights groups, sports bodies and children’s charities.
ROLE OBJECTIVES
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, sales ledger control and purchase ledger control/statement reconciliation on Xero
- Attending client’s sites where necessary to carry out bookkeeping in a timely and accurate manner
- Assisting with preparation of basic monthly management accounts packs with the support from a senior team member
- Assist with the creation of reports to identify results, fund management, and financial forecasts for both the Exec Team and for the Board and its sub-committees
- Assist with the creation of client systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations, as well as improving internal efficiencies and standards of reporting
- Completing all admin and other ad hoc tasks requested by Line Manager
YOUR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience of working with charities in this capacity is desirable
- Previous experiences in a similar accounting or bookkeeping position or graduated in a relevant degree subject
- Experience using and Xero and Microsoft Office software package especially Excel
- Working towards AAT/ACCA/ACA/CIMA is advantageous but not essential
