About the service.

This position includes an element of Lone Working

New Pastures is a three bedroom property, operating as a supported living service for individuals suffering from Mental Illness. Some of the individuals living at New Pastures may also display behaviours which others might find challenging.

New Pastures provides a caring, supporting and nurturing environment where individuals can benefit from extensive experience in developing independence and achieving personal outcomes. The service users safety and wellbeing is at the forefront of what we do.

Within your role, you will support a diverse lifestyle, supporting individuals to play a greater role in the community that they are a part of. A focus is placed upon developing levels of independence through engagement in Daily Living Skills such as cooking, cleaning and shopping. You will be required to follow PBS Plans and work in line with agreed strategies to enahce the emotional well-being of the indivuduals you support.

The role is advertised on a rolling shift pattern. You will be contracted to a minimum of 30 hours per week and shifts may include mornings, afternoons/evenings, every other weekend and sleep-ins.

If you are new to care then this also applies to you - a fundamental part of our recruitment is based upon attitude and personality so experience is not essential. Full training including the Principles and Values Award will be provided as well as intensive support from your line manager to ensure you get the most out of your new role.
