Full Time Bookkeeper
An award winning swim school is looking to recruit a full time Bookkeeper for their Head Office in Ipswich.
The role of Bookkeeper is demanding and varied and requires excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work alone, whilst forming an integral part of the management team.
The job role includes, but not limited to:
Use Xero accounts system and payroll
Sales reconciliations and control of the ledger
Purchase invoice processing and control of the ledger
Purchase payments weekly and monthly
Monthly credit card processing
Banking and full reconciliation
VAT returns and filing online
Forecasting, budgeting and cash flow presentation
Day to day administration duties
Weekly enrolment analysis
Preparation of the monthly management accounts
Preparation of the profit and loss account/balance sheets
Full and comprehensive maintenance of the cash flow
Preparing figures for statutory accounts, tax computations and tax returns
Monthly payroll processing of 60 staff
Monthly pension auto enrolment analysis using Now Pensions
Year-end payroll processing
Operations system online booking software, reconciliation to payroll/receipts
HR Administration
Negotiation and management of large utility contracts
Responsible for company’s IT, insurance & telecoms
Preparations for board and management meetings
You need to:
Be AAT qualified Level 4 AAT qualified or equivalent experience or hold a suitable accountancy qualification
Be proficient in Xero accounting and payroll – Minimum 3 years experience
Have a commercial understanding of how a business operates
Be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, NatWest Bankline
Have excellent focus, attention to detail and accuracy
Have excellent communication skills, both in person, written and on the telephone
Be quick to pick up new skills
Be self-motivated
Be of smart appearance
Be professional, enthusiastic, and friendly and have a fun personality
A general knowledge of IT systems would be advantageous
Have at least 5 years experience within a finance/payroll environment
Have ability to work independently as well as part of the Management Team
Have own transport

If you believe that you have the skills required, then we would welcome your application. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications but will be in the range of £30,000 to £35,000 per annum.
