Shift Supervisor

Shift Basis Inc Days and Nights
To ensure the day to day operation of machines and labour are utilised to maximum efficiency, to produce containers to the customers specification and quality standards.
- To attend daily production meeting in order obtain information regarding production and supply performance and requirements.
- To liaise with customer at regular frequencies to ensure supply requirements are met and when deviation from the supply plan are made action is taken to limit downtime.
- To issue all paperwork connected with various products and report any discrepancies immediately.
- To ensure that production figures, daily supply records and issues are recorded
- To supply the daily stock figures to the planner.
- To deploy labour as necessary to ensure the smooth running of machinery and ancillary equipment. To ensure that correct training is given to personnel for the requirements of the job
- To carry out disciplinary procedures as necessary and to keep personnel department informed.
- To liaise with engineering department regarding repairs and maintenance work that may be required.
- To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with health and safety, quality, hygiene and food safety policies.
- To perform any other duties in connection with the operation of products that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and which are consistent with the “Purpose of job/mission”, ie absence cover for other shift supervisors or equivalent key staff.

Experience
- Experience with running shifts / allocating labour and resources / and ensuring day to day operations within a busy FMCG Manufacturing environment is essential
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Proven people management experience
