East Whitby Co-operative Homes Part-time Manager/Bookkeeper
East Whitby Co-operative Homes is a 90-unit housing co-op funded under the Federal Section 61. We are looking for a manager/bookkeeper for 20 hours per week to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations under the direction of the board of directors. We are looking for an approachable and adaptable person for our diverse community.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to
. Various financial aspects
- Government and corporate relations, Direction to the board on legal issues
Accounts receivable, payable, arrears and subsidy administration
Qualifications
- Experience managing the operations of a housing co-op would be an asset • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Strong skills in the management of finances and operational plans • Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Knowledge of property management and co-op administration preferred • Knowledge of the Section 61 program and the Co-operative Corporations
Act preferred
- Experience in acting as a resource and support for the Board of Directors
and committees preferred
- Ability to work with volunteers in a diverse community

Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
