Store Care Manager
- 10 Month Fixed Term Contract (230001UF)
London based with regular travel across the region
It’s an exciting time to join our Property team at Sainsbury’s. We’ve brought our facilities management function in-house and are having a group wide approach across our brands to ensure that the facilities within our corporate, retail and depot operations are led with a strategic lens to meet cost efficiencies and our Net Zero targets.
As a Store Care Manager, you will be responsible for the FM operational service delivery within retail across Sainsbury’s stores, convenience and Argos Stores based in Central England and the surrounding areas. Communication and influencing skills are key as you’ll work collaboratively with wider property team and external contractors to ensure excellence in their service delivery. You’ll have a unique opportunity to play an active role in supporting selection of major capital projects within your region, the investment process and managing the handover including warranties for all FM aspects for both new and investment stores.
More about the role:
Responsible for the operational service delivery of your allocated stores
Responsible for ensuring stores meet building fabric and FM asset legislative and SSL diligence requirements
Responsible for FM standards in stores ensuring all areas of compliance are adhered to and fit to trade
Work cross functionally whist using insight, knowledge, data and root cause analysis to create pro-active solutions to migrate issues before they become problems for colleagues and customers in our store
Responsible for building relationships with retail store managers, Head of stores and other key stakeholders to ensure a high level of service.
Weekend working on a rota basis, to provide FM service coverage

Understanding of operational service delivery across multiple locations
Experience of working with multiple service providers, motivating remote teams to drive performance
Curious and innovative mindset, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement
Excellent communication and influencing skills with experience in stakeholder management
Strong influencing ability to be able to change behavioural and process within maintenance team’s routines where gaps/improvements are identified
Strong financial capability, with the ability to prioritise spend to drive efficient service and maximise efficiency
Strong judgement that can spot trends and issues in order to understand the scale and impact the issues could be having across the Sainsbury’s estate
