Job description
The Booking Office Assistant needs to be able to deal with the public both face to face and over the telephone using a friendly and confident manner in this small and busy office.
Responsibilities:
- Taking accommodation and travel ticket bookings for staying and day return passengers
- Downloading and responding to customer emails
- Answering the telephone
- Entering brochure enquiries into the customer database
- Printing customer enquiry letters
- Updating passenger manifests on sailing mornings
- Other admin duties as and when required
- Till and credit card machine reconciliations
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail
- Dealing with deliveries
- Keeping the office clean and tidy
- Any other duties to ensure the smooth operation of the shore office
This is a seasonal contract from 27th March until 27th October. There will be some days training prior to the start date. Interviews will take place on 1st March.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience of working in an office
- Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
