Part- Time position for Kennels and Cattery Assistant
Roundstone Kennels is a small kennels and cattery, and we are extremely busy all year round. It is normal practice for our kennels to be fully booked 10 months in advance. We have a small, dedicated and hard working team.
Experience with animals in a working environment preferred but not essential.
Pay rate up to £10.50 per hour
Work shifts are 7.30am-1pm and 2pm-6pm, 7 days per week.
All staff work with a 4 week rota. It is a part-time position up to 28.5 hours per week( 3 days)
You will be required to work 3 weekends out of 4, either Saturday's or Sunday's.
Staff Pension available.

Casual dress code with Uniform T-Shirts, Fleeces and Coats.
JOB ROLE
Caring for all the animals in our care, which includes all the fun stuff, play, cuddles and exercising the dogs.
Administering medication.
Documenting behaviours and needs for our boarders.
Cleaning.
Customer service.
Reception duties including use of the telephone and computerised database and booking system.
Maintaining safety and security for all the animals on the premises.
Candidate Requirements:
You MUST be:
Physically fit. The job requires long hours, where you will be on your feet most of the time. You will need to be able to handle some very large dogs. You will be required to work at speed, such as cleaning kennels/cat cabins ready for the new arrivals.
We cannot stress enough how physically demanding this job is!
A good communicator- for both our clients and your work colleagues.
Excellent at customer service.
Able to work under your own initiative and be happy to work alone at certain tasks.
Able to work as part of a small, hard working team.
Confident with ALL breeds of dogs. We do not discriminate breeds here.
Confident with handling cats.
Good at problem solving.
Living within a 30 minute journey time.
