Biomedical Scientist(Band 5 / 6) HCPC Registered with experience of Haematology and Blood Transfusion
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team as a Biomedical Scientist in the Haematology Department at Kettering General Hospital. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic HCPC registered BMS with experience of working in Haematology and Transfusion preferably within the NHS.
The post holder will be required to actively participate in the out of hours service (weekend and night work) following completion of in-house training and competency assessment. The out of hours rota is fairly distributed amongst the staff group and there is also the opportunity to pick up additional shifts if desired.
Applicants will need to possess good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Our department is equipped with an automated track system consisting of Sysmex analysers, in both Haematology and Coagulation. The department offers in-house haemoglobinopathy and specialist haemostasis testing which staff are given the opportunity to specialise in as a biomedical scientist.
The department is accredited to UKAS ISO 15189 and is registered with the Institute of Biomedical Sciences as a training laboratory for pre and post registration training.
