We’re looking for a BI systems analyst to join our food data enablement team to ensure our platform, systems, and processes are working effectively, right across the business. You’ll conduct regular checks in order to fix data and performance issues relating to live BI content, and you’ll take a lead role in projects that impact BI systems.
As a BI systems analyst, we’ll look to you to support the team in making sure systems and processes are efficient, optimised, and running correctly. You’ll help to ensure our wider food data enablement team and customers have the latest tools available, and that these tools are working successfully. What you’ll do
- manage the operation and maintenance of our MicroStrategy hardware and software
- ensure each of our systems platforms are optimised and running efficiently, investigating any issues and identifying the best solution to fix them
- manage the end-to-end product release process, covering scope, review, and final sign-off
- provide UAT support to both business analysts and retail IT regarding fixes and developments within our data warehouse
- work closely with IT colleagues to test and manage all activity relating to Business Intelligence software and hardware upgrades
- manage and control user and security group permissions and configurations
- take a lead role in projects that impact BI systems, working in collaboration with IT and business delivery managers
This role would suit people who have
- strong experience working with MicroStrategy (other toolsets such as SAP, PowerBI, and Cloud Computing are relevant alternatives)
- experience of data administration, and a good understanding of BI and data modelling
- a good level of SQL understanding and experience
- experience in change management and control
- some project experience, or an understanding of the project lifecycle
