Job Title: Power BI Developer & Analyst
Location: Syracuse, NY
Full Time
Responsibilities:
· Work with business teams to design and implement Power BI reports and dashboards to support improved analytics and decision-making
· Understand business requirements and recommend a solution that best fits the needs of the business
· Evaluate source data and develop methods for collecting and storing data to support meaningful and insightful analytics
· Build and maintain ETL processes and Analysis Services Data Cubes in Microsoft SQL Server
· Design, Develop and Test interactive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, & KPIs in Power BI
· Analyze and present data for better decision making
· Support and enhance existing Power BI processes and SSRS reports
· Maintain documentation and instructions for all analytics projects
· Provide training for staff members at all levels in the use of Power BI and all new functionality developed
· Implement security best-practices to ensure confidential information is segregated and accessible by authorized team members only
· Participate in the investigation and selection of new technology solutions, consult on requirements and build prototypes
Requirements:
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to communicate with all areas of the business to develop requirements and meaningful analytics
· Strong knowledge and experience with the Microsoft SQL Server stack including SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
· Ability to write and maintain complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures and Jobs
· 2+ years of experience using the Microsoft Power Platform in an Enterprise environment (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, DAX)
· Experience with multi-dimensional data models
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a closely related field
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $100,000.00 per year
