Reporting to the BI Manager the role will be responsible for delivering and supporting insights from the Power BI toolset, championing the BI strategy throughout Greggs and striving for a quality service delivery.
Working closely with the business, analysing the business insights needs, understand them and turn them into a powerful story told through engaging visuals in Power BI
Keeping abreast of insight trends in our market, future BI trends and technology changes (such as Power BI roadmaps)
Translating business requirements to technical designs including data modelling solutions, working closely with the Senior BI Analysts, data platform engineers, testers, architects and MDM
Designing effective layouts using themes and report grids, working closely with our UX Designers and standards
Utilizing the navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill-throughs) to guide users through a compelling data-driven story
Working with the testing team to manage the processes around User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and fixing any defects identified
Publishing reports via the Power BI service, managing them through distribution of apps and monitoring usage/data refreshes/security access

Essential Skills:
Strong understanding of BI concepts and tools
Ability to take business customer requirements, understand them and turn them into a powerful story told through engaging visuals in Power BI
Skilled in Power BI and other visualisation tools
Experience of designing conceptual and logical data models
Experience of DAX calculations
SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL)
Confident communicating with stakeholders of all levels around the business
Experience of working in dynamic business environments, and managing delivery of multiple initiatives
The ability to self-start with a proactive approach to daily tasks, overcoming problems and maintaining momentum
